Zviahel

Zviahel (Ukrainian: Звягель) is the city in the Zviahel Raion (district) of the Zhytomyr Oblast (province) of Ukraine.
It is the administrative center of the Zviahel Raion (district) and the Zviahel City Hromada (community).
Population: 55,086 (2022).

Originally known as Zviahel, the city was first mentioned in 1256. It has city status since 1795.
From 1795 to November 16, 2022 Zviahel had the name Novohrad-Volynskyi.
